Living without a head, I grew jealous of my sisters. In a regrettable fit of rage I blindly lashed out, clipping the wings of my sister to my right and destroying the head of the sister to my left. Lunging forward after my third sister revealed her absence, most likely having fled. My fourth sister cleaved me in two, leaving nothing but my legs. She remains fully intact, protecting our secrets.

This is bigger than I thought. I may have witnessed horrors more unnatural than the war itself. The trail I now follow could lead me straight to the source. I must press on.

Survival has become second nature. I no longer fear my enemies, but lord how they now fear me... and what I've become. This war is a mere annoyance as I discover truth buried deep in the shadows.

I believe I've intercepted messages meant for another. Ciphers and mysteries, it's too intriguing. I cannot ignore what I have stumbled upon.

Their operation is falling apart. Every lead I follow uncovers abandoned posts and failed experiments. Is this incompetence or sabotage? I believe I have a newfound cause to uncover these secrets.

How many other secrets are locked away?

The key to the entrance of Hell is unknowable. Yet, the prisoner somehow knew. The seemingly mindless valve scrawlings are more than a code; they are a map! Polaris guide me. If I start with the fewest steps and discard any bloody clues I may just uncover the source of the poor creature's madness.
